    ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

  • ABSTRACT DEADLINES

    • Deadline for Abstract Submission: October 31, 2023 November 7, 2023
    • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: January 31, 2024
    • Early bird registration deadline : April 15, 2024
    • The presenting author of an accepted abstract should register and complete the full payment before March 15, 2024, in order to be included in the final Programme 
     

    AUTHORS

    • A presenting authors can submit no more than 3 contributions. In order to maximize the number of speakers able to present their work at 18th-ICC, at most one oral presentation will be allocated per presenting author.  The presenting author of an accepted abstract should register and complete the full payment in order to be included in the final Program. When you submit your abstract, you will be required to select your intended participation format (Oral only / Oral preferred / Poster) and the Topic session.
     

    PRESENTATION TYPES

    • Oral presentations: If selected for an oral presentation, you will be given a timeslot of 20 minutes including discussions (15 min presentation + 5 min Q&A). 
    • Poster presentations: If selected for a poster presentation, you will present your work in a dedicated poster session during the Congress. 
     

    ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

    • Be sure to check the various conference Topics you can submit your abstract to.
    • Title: Abstract titles that are informative, concise, and to the point, can be highly effective. A good title will readily communicate to a potential attendee what your presentation is about and instill in him or her the desire to attend it. Titles with 12 words or fewer are optimal.
    • Keywords: Think of which keywords are typically used in your area of catalysis research and match the best ones with your abstract. You will have to select:
      • at least 1 keyword from among the predefined list for your chosen Topic
      • and a minimum of 3 keywords in total, among all Topics
      • and a maximum of 5 keywords in total, among all Topics
    • Short Summary: The Short Summary should be 50 words or less, briefly describe the main findings and highlight the importance of the work. The Short Summary will be easily accessible in the online program and will guide attendees. The short Summary is required in addition to the Extended Abstract. We recommend that you prepare your summary as a Word document and then copy and paste it in the space provided.
     

    SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

    • Submissions for 18th-ICC will require an Extended Abstract, which allows for more information to be included. Having section on motivations, followed by technical details including methods, results and discussion can help highlight your work. To wrap it all up, a small section highlighting the significance of the work can go a long way.
    • An extended abstract is required. Abstracts are limited to one page (A4 format) as PDF file (15Mo maximum) and must be in landscape format divided into two columns. Abstracts may include pictures, graphs, charts, and references.
    • A Word template is available for download: Word template, which must be followed for the abstract to be considered for oral or poster presentation at 18th-ICC. Submission of the abstract requires conversion of the final document to PDF format. Any Extended Abstract that is accepted for 18th-ICC will later become publicly available online as part of the technical program. Make sure that any data and information included is ready for prime time, as well as cleared to be shared publicly by all co-authors.
     

    YOUNG TALENT LABEL

    • In order to promote the visibility of highly talented young researchers during ICC 2024, a “YOUNG TALENT" label of excellence will be awarded to emerging young researchers selected for oral communications, and will appear in the program.
    • These authors should not be more than 35 years old as of January 1, 2024 and will be required to provide a CV as a PDF file, using the following biosketch Word template.
