  • Wednesday 17 July afternoon is dedicated to the excursions in Lyon and the surroundings.
    Take advantage of your stay in Lyon to discover the wonders of this UNESCO World Heritage city and take back home some exceptional souvenirs!
    The organization of ICC has put together 8 very varied excursions, according to your interests and your desire to discover a specific district or history of the city.

    Make sure to book your excursion during the registration process!
    Meeting points for tour departures will be in the Lyon district related to each tour, all accessible by public transports, and will be announced at a later date.
    Only tours outside Lyon will depart by bus from the convention center.
     

  • “Vieux-Lyon” Unesco’s World Heritage district

    The tour begins on the esplanade of Fourvière and its splendid panorama on the city. Then descent into the Vieux-Lyon Unesco’s World Heritage district, with a walk through the narrow cobbled alleyways and the famous “traboules”, then finish with the visit of the Cathedral Saint-Jean. This guided tour reveals superbly renovated architectural treasures: internal courtyards, Italian-style galleries, wells, spiral staircases...

  • Lyon sightseeing cruise

    Enjoy a cruise and live to the rhythm of a city that combines a UNESCO listed heritage with resolutely modern architecture!
    Sail on the Saône by boarding quai des Célestins, through Vieux-Lyon end then to the Confluence district. Enjoy 1 hour of absolute relaxation where you will discover the city of Lyon in all its details.

  • Silk and Canuts CANCELLED

    Guided tour of the Croix Rousse district, right in the heart of the weavers' quarter, with a tour of a Canuts workshop to discover weaving looms, from the oldest, such as the grande-tire loom, to the mechanical loom and the Jacquard loom. Then discover the silk workers' quarter and the famous traboules of the Croix Rousse. End the tour at the Painted Wall of Famous Lyonnais.

  • Lyon, City of cinema CANCELLED

    Visit of the Institut-Musée des Frères Lumières.
    This tour explores the various inventions of the Lumière brothers in their magnificent Art Nouveau-style family villa. The museographic tour reveals the various technical advances that led to the emergence of the Cinématographe, right up to the exploitation of Lumière films.

  • Treetop Adventure

    Accrobranche Lyon offers a treetop adventure park, just a stone’s trhow from Lyon center. It offers high rope courses of varied and progressive difficulties, with unlimited access. Equipped with a harness, you'll make your way through the trees on a discovery trail. The staff is specially trained to ensure the safety of the visitors and they ensure optimal safety thanks to the continuous lifeline system.
    You will need to reach the location on your own using the public transportation (45 min. from the Convention Centre).

  • Food tour : “Lyonnaiseries”

    You’ll set off on a gourmet walking experience to discover the Old Lyon district, alternating between traboules and tasting breaks. Along the way, you'll meet Lyonnais artisans who are passionate about their craft. They'll share their history, their trade, their know-how and, of course, their delicious, emblematic products for you to sample.
    Food Tour with 2 tasting breaks (Lyon beer and grand cru chocolate pairing, Praline tart and cold drinks).

  • Beaujolais: Beautiful vineyards & old stones

    The historic capital of Beaujolais, created by the Sires de Beaujeu in the Middle Ages, Beaujeu is home to the Maison du Terroir Beaujolais, a visitor center and boutique, as well as the 12th-century Cluniac church of St. Nicolas. This guided tour will be followed by an exploration of Beaujolais terroirs through the tasting of 4 different wines.

  • Vienne & Condrieu vineyards

    The visit begins with the guided tour of Vienna. Vienna in Austria? No, Vienna, capital of the Allobroges! Between Isère and Rhône, the Vienne Condrieu region is steeped in history: vineyards cultivated for millennia, a Roman wall hidden between two buildings, a cathedral standing proudly on the banks of the Rhône...
    The visit will be followed by a tasting at a wine estate. Welcome in the vineyards, presentation of the estate and the Côte Rôtie & Condrieu vineyards, tour of the ageing cellar, and tasting of the full range of estate wines.
